1. The “No Annoying Cookies” Policy
Zero Tracking Cookies
Calytix does not use marketing, advertising, or invasive tracking cookies. You will never see a cookie consent banner on our site because there is nothing to consent to. The only local storage or session data utilized is strictly functional (e.g., saving your audio volume preference or keeping your session authenticated if you log in).
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways depending on how you interact with the Platform:
Personal Data
If you choose to submit an idea via the Submission Portal or register for a dashboard (Phase 3), we collect the personal information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, and Discord username. This is strictly to contact you regarding your submission or account.
Payment Data
When you make a purchase, payment data is collected via our integrated payment processor (e.g., Stripe). Calytix does not store your credit card numbers. We only retain the transaction record and billing address for accounting and fulfillment purposes.
Derivative Data
Our servers automatically record strictly necessary technical data when you access the site (IP address, browser type, operating system) for the purposes of security and DDoS prevention. This server log data is ephemeral.
3. Use of Your Information
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and tailored experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you to:
- Process transactions and alert you regarding the status of your lore/mechanic Submissions.
- Create and manage your Contributor Dashboard account.
- Email you regarding account updates, receipts, or technical notices.
- Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not share your private data with third parties except in the following limited situations:
- By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your data with third parties that perform services for us, such as payment processing (Stripe) or database hosting (Supabase). They are securely bound to protect your data.
- With Your Consent: If you explicitly authorize us to publicly credit you by your real name or handles on our public facing site associated with your Submission.
5. Data Retention
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Submission content incorporated under our Contributor Rights agreement is retained indefinitely as part of the Calytix universe canon.

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:
